Sensoji Temple in Asakusa

Last Sunday I went to Sensoji Temple in Asakusa. It is a tourist spot where all tourist come to Tokyo sure will go to this temple. The temple is very big and there are a lot of shops along the road to the main temple where you can buy souvenirs and food. The temple is very beautiful and well maintained. There is a 5 storeys Pagoda beside the main shrine. Before you want to pray in the main shrine, you need to clean your hand and mouth first. There is a water fountain in front of the main shrine for you clean your hand and mouth.

To get to this temple, you just take the Tokyo Metro subway – Ginza Line and it will take you to Asakusa right in front of the temple entrance. Enjoy some photos I took there.

Toyota City Showcase in Odaiba

Last Saturday I went to Toyota City Showcase in Odaiba to see Toyota cars for Japan market. They have wide range of cars from luxury car like Majesta to K-car like Vitz. They also have a section for F1 car development and GT. The best part of the showcase is the Mega Theatre. It is a theatre with a big screen plus Motion Master effect. I watched a GT car racing simulation last Saturday and it was fantastic. The motion effect is damn real. You can feel the motion of changing gears and braking plus cornering.

In Toyota City Showcase, you can test drive any Toyota car you want around the building with a small amount of fee (If not mistaken is 300 yen). But you must have a valid driving license and for foreigner must have a International Driving License. They also offer consultation for those who want to buy new car. Now enjoy the photos I took in Toyota City Showcase.

Ferris Wheel in Odaiba

The world’s largest ferris wheel is here in Odaiba with the height of 115 metre above the ground. It costs 900 yen to sit for a 16 minutes ride to see the view of Tokyo from 115 metre above the ground. At night you see beautiful lighting effect on the ferris wheel which will change colour every few seconds. Enjoy the photos by clicking the link below.

Ferris Wheel in Odaiba

Odaiba is a popular tourist attraction in Tokyo City. I went there last Saturday to check out the place. It is a very interesting place with few attractions you should not be missed. In previous posting, I got mentioned about the original Statue of Liberty in Odaiba. I went to see it in close-up view. It is the original Statue of Liberty made in France long time ago and the New York’s Statue of Liberty was built based on this original statue here in Odaiba.

Odaiba is located on a man-made land or reclaimed land in Tokyo Bay. Some big organization like Shell and NHK are located here. There’s also an indoor theme park called JoyRide Sega in Aqua City Mall. From the Aqua City Mall, you have a vey nice view of Rainbow Bridge which connect Odaiba with the mainland. In coming postings, I will write about attractions in Odaiba. For now enjoy some pictures of the some beautiful view in Odaiba.

Busy Weekend…

Last weekend was my most busy weekend in Japan. I went to Odaiba on Saturday and Asakusa on Sunday. Odaiba is a very interesting place with few attractions that you should not miss out when you come to Japan which are the Toyota City Showcase, Ferris Wheel (World’s LargestFerris Wheel), History Garage and Venus Fort. In the coming postings, I will write about these 4 attractions. Asakusa is a religious place where the famous Sensoji Temple is located. I will write about Asakusa in coming posting.

Rainy Days….

It has been raining these few days here in Tokyo. The rain here sometimes can last for one whole day from early morning to late night. To stay in Japan, you must always know the weather condition everyday before you step out from your house. In Japan you going to do a lot of walking either to work or travel around. So if on that day it’s going to rain, it’s better to have a umbrella with you. I every night check the weather forecast using the Yahoo Widget before I go to sleep. The weather here is cold now due to the rain and temperature can drop until 14 celcius at night…. I almost freeze to death hahaha….
